5 things to know before playing Destiny 2 Shadowkeep

There are a few important things to consider when you start playing Destiny 2 Shadowkeep in a few hours of once it released. These informations can protect you from losing your battle pass. Others can be important when playing the game. Let’s chat about what you should definitely know about when starting Destiny 2 Shadowkeep.

#1 don’t risk losing your battle pass

This is an important one! Bungie told us that when we first log in with our account that has the Destiny 2 Shadowkeep content unlocked, that account will get access to the Battle Pass for the Season of Undying. Meaning, when you log in and then start enabling your cross save account, you may lose access to the battle pass that came with Destiny 2 Shadowkeep. Go to Bungie.net/crosssave and enable it today! It doesn’t cost you anything and enables you to play on Xbox One and Playstation 4 with the same account and characters than on PC for example.

#2 where are your preorder items for Destiny 2 Shadowkeep

When you preordered the Destiny 2 Shadowkeep release, you may wonder when will you get your exclusive preorder and bonus items? That can be answered very simple. After you finished the first moon mission, come back to Eris Morn and she will then give you your deserved preorder items.

#3 what’s the big difference between Destiny 2 New Light and Shadowkeep?

Important to know for new players especially, if you have a license for Destiny 2 Shadowkeep or Destiny 2 Forsaken, your characters will have each 3 subclasses with each having three subclass-trees. If you are a new player starting with the Destiny 2 New Light mission, you’ll be limited to only two subclass-trees. This stems from the fact that New Light content is basically the same content before Destiny 2 Forsaken came out, but after the first two DLCs in Year one of Destiny 2.

#4 where’s the Premonition Legendary Pulse Rifle on the moon?

This is a tricky one. If you saw the Premonition Legendary Pulse Rilfe in your armory as unlockable item, it will say you can find it on the moon. This is actually not entirely correct as this weapon can be found inside of the coming Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Dungeon which will be released later in October of this year.

#5 I thought my Warlock can give instant reload?

If you’re a veteran Destiny 2 player or someone coming in but heard about this, yes guardians previously had the ability to instant reload weapons. One such item that enables this features were the Lunafaction Boots. These incorrectly stated that using them in Rifts will automatically reload weapons, but they will actually increase weapon reload speed instead. Titans with their shields won’t enable instant reload in the same manner anymore. This comes from a deeper look insight how Bungie learned to avoid these abilities in order to give the player a better challenge. In a way, this was necessary as instant reloading locked certain guardian classes basically down to only one loadout.
