Destiny 2 Shadowkeep leaks ahead of Thursday’s reveal stream

A user on Reddit found and posted about the upcoming next update for Destiny 2 which is coming after today’s going to be released Season of Opulence which will run throughout this summer. Originally planned to be revealed this Thursday, 10am PT on the Bungie livestream, Shadowkeep was now been surfaced.

“The next chapter in the Destiny experience arrives this fall as terrifying shadows descend upon a forgotten moon,” it reads. “Return to the lunar surface. Journey deep into a mysterious enemy citadel. Become a slayer of nightmares.”

It reads as if we’re going back to the old lunar surface or maybe at least a new part of the moonbase that we played on in the first Destiny. Back then it was event stage for the hive and their prince Crota, which was also a raid then.

“We have successfully datamined the Fall expansion”

On Reddit, the users that datamined the information about the new installment of Destiny 2 are seemingly proud of themself whilst on Twitter some are actually defending Bungie as whole because they feel like it both ruined the surprise of that reveal as much as the hard work of developing and preparing the reveal was ruined by this.

It is understandable that there is much more sympathy now towards Bungie as a whole since the split with Activision at the start of the year has been revealed and quickly fullfilled. Bungie is by all means now an independent game developer studio. So that makes anything that is relating to them and their hard ever more so personal to the fans.

What do you think about this leak? Should the responsible people have been quiet about it or was it justified to dig up this information before the official reveal? Let us know on our socials listed down below!
