Today is at least for Twitter a good day as Reggie Fils-Aimé has joined Twitter as a private person. You can find him very easily under his common nickname @Reggie,
Within just 2 hours did he gather around 100.000 followers and his first post on the service as himself instead of Nintendo of America showed a little figurine holding his signature:
With already over 25.000 retweets on that post, we later also got to see a little peak behind the curtain as Reggie begins to clear his office of all his belongings which are plenty as he says so himself:
Thankfully we also get a bit of history shown, as at least myself has hoped for it to happen. I can not thank him enough to join the Twitter community to still stay a part of the gaming sphere and to be around just a little bit longer for us to reach out and to have engaging contacts to fans. He was around for the Nintendo of America company since 2004, so 15 years and a bit longer (as he also was the COO of the company for a year).
Now a new leader will be the CEO of Nintendo of America and his name is Doug Bowser, just like the notable antagonist of all of Mario’s adventures in some form or shape. Though I am hopeful that Doug will be a good new leader. At least Reggie trusts not only Nintendo of America with him but also the next generation of gamers alike.
I want to finish off this article with a nice little webcomic which was created by the artist known on Twitter as @theGreyzen:
