No Man’s Sky Beyond release trailer released

No Man’s Sky’s biggest free update is about to be released on August 14th. No Man’s Sky Beyond was announced this year in March as the biggest update thus far for the game with the promise of actual multiplayer functions for the game and additionally VR gaming.

After insane hype, the initial launch being considered severely lacking and having many distrust Sean Murray of Hello Games for lieing about game features, the game has evolved to be better and better every year. Check out the No Man’s Sky Beyond launch trailer here:

What does No Man’s Sky Beyond bring to the game

The biggest aspect of No Man’s Sky Beyond is the online feature. Making the game playable with friends together promises a much more fun experience for the gameplay loop. As Sean has put it in the March reveal for this new update:

No Man’s Sky Online includes a radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together. Whilst this brings people together like never before, and has many recognisable online elements, we don’t consider No Man’s Sky to be an MMO – it won’t require a subscription, won’t contain microtransactions, and will be free for all existing players.

No Man’s Sky Next, another free update that was brought into the game some time ago now, also already revamped many of the game’s internal features. By now there’s even crafting, buildings, a story mode and many more aspects that have come to the game. I certainly need to drop back into the game again some time in the future to see the new changes for myself.
